Community Service Award for Danny Dog

We were thrilled to receive “Outstanding Community Service” certificates of recognition for 2015 from California State Senator Joel Anderson, 38th District, on Dec. 9. The certificates, presented during an assembly today at Sycamore Canyon Elementary in Santee, recognized us for leading and inspiring youth toward community service.

Over the past year, we have made nearly 40 school visits throughout San Diego County to share the award-winning book, Danny Dog, and its important message about pet rescue, adoption and second chances.

It was a special day, indeed, capped by a visit to State Senator Anderson’s office where Danny captivated the staff.
