Danny wows them during school visit

Danny’s first school visit couldn’t have gone better.

On Wednesday, Nov. 5, we visited Carlton Oaks Elementary in Santee and Danny, the rescue dog, received a ‘rock star-like’ reception.

As we entered the multi-purpose room where three kindergarten classes were anxiously waiting, the children spontaneously burst into a chant of “Danny Dog, Danny Dog!” when they caught a glimpse of Danny. What a thrill!

Then, the kids swarmed around Danny as he walked down the red carpet. Clearly, Danny was the main attraction from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. And, he loved every minute of it!

Now that our first school visit is behind us, we can’t wait for the next one.

Meanwhile, Danny has another first coming up – a plane trip to Seattle. We are headed there for a book signing at the headquarters of Emerald City Pet Rescue, the organization that cared for him before we adopted him in August 2013.

Yes, the book signing campaign for Danny Dog is nicely underway. It will be a hectic schedule of appearances over the next several weeks and the little Shih-Tzu seems more than up for the task.

And, don’t forget to check out Danny’s website, www.dannyrescuedog.com for information on upcoming events and to order the book.
